Luxury sustainable staples is the focus on this blog post. We all love luxury items, however for many of us including me, we cannot buy all the luxury quality items that we may come across.
It is not necessary to buy an expensive item just because it is a popular trendy brand such as Gucci and Fendi. Not to say that Fendi and Gucci are not on my Wishlist, the point is to focus on fabric content and sustainability. Items that a classic and good quality that will last that you can wear over and over for years .

Here are 5 tips to Afford Luxury Staples
Luxury is subjective, what is luxurious and expensive for one person may be affordable for another. These tips are useful for everyone no matter what your price point or financial status.
Make a Wish List
Wish list are a great way to have an idea of what you want and may need. If you have a list you can focus on items on that list and not get distracted and end up buying items that is not particularly necessary.
Some websites that I find a lot of luxury staples are Farfetch, Net-a-Porter, MyTheresa, Luisaviaroma, Matchesfashion, Ssense, Nordstrom and SaksfifthAve. Make wishlist on each site so you have an idea of what you want clear before you. Also you can compare prices or an item may go on sale on one site versus another.
Check back every week to month your wishlist to see if the item is still in stock and if it is on sale. I have purchased many items on my wishlist on sale by checking back ever so often.
Plan your Purchases
For example you have Dior sling back pumps which costs appoximately $1000 depending on where you live, you can put away $200 dollars a month for 5 months, depending on you financial situation. $100 dollars a month or $500 a month. Save up until you can afford it. Do not go into debt for wants that are not needs.
Shop Pre-Loved Luxury
It is not necessary to buy all your luxury items brand new. Buying pre loved is a great way to start shopping sustainably. Some popular sites for pre loved items are Therealreal, Tradesy, Vestiarcollective as well as Fashionphile.
Poshmark and Ebay are other sites to find pre loved items, just beware of scams and counterfeit items.
Online Luxury Outlets
Luxury stapes are a great way to to elevate your style. Sprinkle in in a Chanel brooch or a Loewe belt. Online outlets such as Youx, Nordstrom Rack, and SaksoffFifth. You can find off season or last season items at a discounted price.
Just Rent It
Last but not least, push come to shove you can just rent it. Rent beautiful gowns and outfits on Rent the Runway, Armoire Style and Nuuly. This is also a great way to try out an style or a outfit before investing in it
